IVs

This is a photo of our little man's first IV in the ER. It is so sad to watch him get these put in. Yesterday afternoon, the one in the picture blew (meaning it wasn't able to be used anymore) so they had to put a new one in. The new seemed to make him really uncomfortable and by the middle of the night he was pretty inconsolable about it. It broke my heart but I was really glad that they pulled it out and put a new one it. He is now back to his quiet sweet self and is sleeping again.
At this point it seems like we will be here 7 to 14 days. They are pretty confident that it is bacterial meningitis (because of how high the white blood cell counts were) but they are waiting on one more culture to see if it a specific viral meningitis.
Thank you for your continued prayers and care for us.

Praying for healing for Titus and continued strength for you! This photo reminds me of our first weeks with Elise. The Lord will carry you through!

We'll keep praying! I was thinking of you today, Jerusha, and reminded of these verses:

"The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
when he delights in his way;
though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. He is ever lending generously, and his children become a blessing." Psalm 37:23-36
